Flag Raising Ceremony

Flag Raising Ceremony

Thursday September 20th, 2018

Pallotti’s annual flag raising ceremony 2018 was very successful. Despite a few showers, the ceremony went off without a hitch. Four hundred plus students all assembled in their patriotic colours: red, white and blue.
The ceremony began with the Belizean National Prayer and it was followed by the National Anthem. The Belizean Flag was then raised while Mr. Enriquez and three students patriotically blew their trumpets. The guest speaker, Mr. Chester Williams, who is the Deputy Commissioner of Police delivered a speech to the girls urging them to stay in school and get a good education.
Zoe Westby then graced us with her voice by singing a patriotic song. Lakaydian McFadzean then shared a patriotic poem. Thirty seven balloons were then released to symbolize Belize’s thirty seven n years of Independence. “Belize da fi we: now and forever 8667”.
