Music Department

The primary purpose of the Music Program is to provide all our students with an opportunity to participate in a fun filled, exciting and rewarding experience at Pallotti High School. The Music Department offers a fundamental music course for woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion. Basic vocal training is also an option for 2nd, 3rd and 4th formers. Our music course consist of performance, music theory, sight singing, ear training, music literature and music appreciation. Our music facilities are available to all instrument players to rehearse after school.

The private lesson program offered by the Music Department is unique. Each student has the privilege to study on a one-on-one basis with a music teacher. Daily practice and preparation is expected of each student with their progress closely being monitored. Theory lessons are also available on a prearranged basis. According to their readiness students from all years are selected to perform with The Pallotti  Ensemble and or The Pallotti Chamber Group and are encouraged to take practical and theoretical  exams from The Royal School of Music.

The Pallotti Ensemble consists of the elite players from the school. The instrumentation for this group are winds and select percussions. All players in this ensemble are hand picked by the instructor. This group plays music especially arranged for intermediate level.

The Music Department is housed in the (whatever that back building is called) on campus. Our faculty consist of some of the finest music teachers and performers in Belize. Our concerts and recitals are presented on campus and off campus and are well attended and received by the public.
