Business Department
The Business Courses consist of the following:
- Principles of Accounts (POA)
- Principles of Business (POB)
- Office Administration (OA)
(This course includes a three-week period of Office Practice where students gain hands-on experience in the workplace)
- Electronic Document Preparation and Management (EDPM)/Keyboarding
- Information Technology
General objectives of the courses offered:
- Equip students with knowledge and skills for jobs such as clerical assistants, administrative assistants and reception assistants.
- Foster personal growth and development, enhance decision-making capabilities, and cultivate a disciplined and ethical workforce.
- Provide students with the knowledge and the technical and inter-personal skills to function, effectively, within a modern office environment.
- Lay the foundation for career development and further studies in any field related to business.
- Expose students to a perspective which is intended to help them appreciate how their own subsequent career roles will contribute to the economic structure of their territory.
- Enable students to make sound decisions as consumers of goods and services through the insight gained into business practices.
